After your website goes live, you will have the option to change your website address (domain name).
This article explains how to connect your existing domain name by changing the nameservers (NS). If you’d rather connect your domain without changing nameservers, follow this guide: How to connect my existing domain by updating DNS records?
NOTE: If you're connecting a domain you bought from Wix, unlike most registrars, Wix does not allow changing nameservers. That means you’ll need to connect your Wix domain to Noiseyard by editing DNS records instead. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do that: How to connect a domain I bought from Wix?
If you're currently using the generic domain name we gave you (eg. myproject.noiseyard.com); all three of these actions will guide you to a page where you can connect your custom domain name:
Go to Domain Settings directly through your Control Panel.
At the end of your trail phase, you will be greeted with a modal in the Control Panel. Click the 'Choose custom domain name' button at the bottom-right of the modal.
Look for the domain name notification in the Reminders panel. Click on "Set Custom Domain Name →".
If you are in the Domain Settings page:
Click on “Connect an existing domain name” button.
Enter the domain name you’d like to connect to your Noiseyard website.
Make sure you entered the right domain name.
Once you are ready, click on “Connect Domain” button.
Confirm your selection by clicking “Connect Domain” button from the modal.
If you entered an incorrect domain name, you’ll get a “Domain name cannot be found.” message. Please make sure you entered the correct domain name. When you enter the correct domain name, you will see a message stating "We found your domain, but there’s more to do".
After receiving the success message, we'll handle the necessary changes on our end to connect your domain. You'll then need to make additional changes to ensure the connection is successful. You will be navigated to a screen with instructions on how to redirect your nameservers. This step is essential for successfully connecting your domain.
Please follow the steps provided on this page:
Visit your current domain registrar's website and login to your account.
Update the domain nameservers to point to Noiseyard by entering the following nameservers in your domain settings:
Your domain name will be connected to your Noiseyard website. These changes may take up to 24 hours to take effect, though typically they happen much faster.
If you are in the Choose a new custom domain name page, follow these steps:
Click on “Already have a domain name? →” button.
Enter the domain name you’d like to connect to your Noiseyard website.
Make sure you entered the right domain name.
Once you are ready, click on “Connect Domain” button.
Confirm your selection by clicking “Connect Domain” button from the modal.

If you need more help, here’s how to change your nameservers for most popular domain registrars:
Please note that:
Once your new domain is registered, we’ll automatically issue an SSL certificate for it. While the installation may take up to 24 hours, it usually happens much faster. Once the certificate is installed, you’ll see "https://" and a padlock icon in the address bar next to your domain name, indicating that sensitive information is secure and private.
If your website isn’t loading 24 hours after you updated the nameservers, please contact our support team for assistance.
