You can send your newsletters from your own domain, like hello@yourband.com, instead of a shared Noiseyard address. Mail from your own domain looks more trustworthy to fans and to email providers, so more of it reaches the inbox.
First you need a custom domain connected to your Noiseyard site. After that, you turn on Domain Sender Verification and you are set.
To set it up:
Connect your custom domain to your Noiseyard website, if you have not already. You do this from Domain Settings in your Control Panel.
Go to Newsletter, then Newsletter Settings.
Find the Domain Sender Verification section and click Verify Now.
If Noiseyard manages your domain (you registered it with us, or connected it by changing your nameservers), there is nothing else to do. It sets itself up and the status becomes Verified.
If your domain keeps its DNS at another provider (you connected it using DNS records), click View the DNS records, add them at your domain manager, then verify. The related help below has the exact steps.
Once the status shows Verified, your newsletters go out from your own domain automatically.
Please note that:
DNS changes take a little time to spread across the internet, so verification is not always instant. If it is still working, give it a bit and check again.
A brand new sending address can land in spam for a short while at first. The related help on reaching the inbox explains how to get past that faster.
